The moon was probably made 4.5 billion years ago.When a large object hit the earth  and blasted out rocks  that came together  to orbit  around the earth.The moon is much smaller  then the earth it is airless, waterless and lifeless.The  gravity  of the moon cause  two high tides on the earth everyday.The first person to walk on the moon  was the American astronaut Neil Armstrong. He step out of the space craft 19609  and said these famous words  that's one small  step for man and one giant for a man kind.
